Onjaree Chongpaisansakul Endorsement

Onjaree Chongpaisansakul

I’m Onjaree Chongpaisansakul, Chemical and Biological Engineering Undergraduate Co-President of 2015-2016, and I am happy to endorse Alan Ehrenholz for VP Administration of the AMS.

Alan’s commitment in creating an engaging and inclusive campus environment shows through in his leadership experiences, which makes him an ideal candidate for this position. I have worked on the Engineering Undergraduate Society Council under his presidency and led my department in last year’s Engineering Week, which he organized as EUS VP Student Life. With his awareness of students’ needs and drive to address them, Alan has made tangible improvements to existing programs in the faculty and effectively engages students in the community in his EUS Executive roles.

Alan’s strong resume and capabilities will undoubtedly lead to the success of his plan to diversify the Student Administration Commission and develop the Student Life and Sustainability Centre. I am thrilled to see his enthusiasm and dedication to building a dynamic community and embracing sustainability on campus reach greater heights through his role as VP Administration of the AMS!

Adrian Prince Endorsement

Adrian Prince

I’m Adrian Prince, President of Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Club, and I am happy to endorse Alan Ehrenholz for VP Administration of the AMS!

Alan’s strong record of engaging students, building campus community and overall leadership experience make him an outstanding candidate for this critical position. When I first became President of Club Mech (Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Club) there was a lot of new information and expectations of me that I had to handle.  At first the transition into the position was difficult but thanks to the leadership and guidance from Alan I was able to persevier and be the leader Club Mech needed. Alan’s experience as VP Student Life of the EUS will be a huge asset when addressing the needs of small and large student clubs.  Over the past year, as President of the Engineering Undergraduate Society, Alan has shown his strengths by increasing student engagement and by building community between the department clubs and Ex/O’s clubs of the EUS.  Alan’s extensive involvement in events aimed at building community on campus, particularly in the context of his time as an EUS executive, will allow him to immediately get to work building more dynamic, engaging events for the student body. In summary, given his strong experience and clear vision, I am thrilled to endorse Alan Ehrenholz for VP Administration of the AMS!

Endorsement: Sean Morgan Anderson

As the first round of debates approaches (Today, 2pm, Performance Theatre) I would like to thank Sean Morgan Anderson, EUS VP Finance 12-13, for his endorsement.

Sean Morgan Anderson

My name is Sean Morgan Anderson, ex-VP Finance of the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS) (2012/2013) as well as ex-President of the Sigma Phi Delta Professional Engineering Fraternity (2014/2015), and I am enthusiastic about endorsing Alan Ehrenholz for VP Administration of the AMS!

From his early days as PP President, Second Year Civil Rep and Western Engineering Student Societies Team President, to his more recent experiences as EUS VP Student Life and EUS President, Alan has a strong record of leadership experience and a history of getting difficult things done. Alan approached all of these roles with an affable manner, a strong vision, and incredible work ethic. All of my experiences working with Alan have shown him to be efficient, nimble, pleasant, and self-sacrificing.

Along with Alan’s impressive resume of community building and event management, my personal experiences with Alan have proven to me, time and time again, his relentless enthusiasm and well rounded approach to life. It is my utmost pleasure to endorse Alan Ehrenholz for VP Administration of the AMS.

Endorsement from Ian Campbell

I would like to thank Ian Campbell, EUS President 12-13, for writing me this endorsement.  Ian has been a mentor and a friend to me since I entered university, and his kind words mean so much to me!

Alan is extremely dedicated to the Engineering Undergraduate Society, and I have no doubts that he will make a great president. He has been one of the most enthusiastic and engaged members of the society since his first days here in 2013. He is able to lead by example, in always going the extra mile for the EUS.

Alan has been taking the time to prepare for the role of president, meeting with previous executives to get feedback on his plans for the year. When we met, he was receptive to feedback without wavering on his own ideas. He is well aware of where his strengths lie as a candidate, and is planning to advance the society in areas that could benefit from his skill set.

Ian Campbell

EUS President, 12-13

Thank you again Ian, for all you have done for me these last two years!

Endorsement from Sean Morgan Anderson

Sean Morgan Anderson has been an amazing mentor and a great friend the past two years.  He has taught me to value truth, honesty, and hard work.  Always ready to debate, Sean has challenged me to be the best I can be since I came to UBC.

I first met Alan when he came to UBC as a starry-eyed first year in 2013. Since then, I have watched as Alan has gained a wealth of experience in leadership roles as PP President, the second year representative for Civil Engineering, Western Engineering Student Societies Team (WESST) President, and VP Student Life.

My time as VP Finance taught me that being the EUS President demands prior experience with the EUS, strong organisational skills, the ability to deal with stress, and the ability to lead. It is my opinion that Alan not only meets and excels at all these criteria, but that he has proven as much through his prior involvement. His ability to manage all of his responsibilities while juggling a social life, a relationship and school continues to impress.

My personal experiences with Alan have demonstrated to me that he is genuinely enthusiastic in his commitments, is professional is his demeanor, and is more than capable of managing teams.

It is my pleasure to endorse Alan Ehrenholz for the position of EUS President. I look forward to the direction that he will take the Society in during his term.
